On June 16, a presentation of the textbook “Prevention of Juvenile Crime and Execution of Sentences” was held at Caucasus International University.
The authors of the book are: Moris Shalikashvili, Associate Professor at Tbilisi State University, Doctor of Law of the University of Hamburg (Germany); Givi Mikanadze, Associate Professor at Caucasus International University; Ioseb Vardzelashvili, Professor at Georgian National University SEU, Doctor of Law of Tbilisi State University.
The book presentation was moderated by Professor George Khatidze, the Dean of the Faculty of Law at Caucasus International University. Professor Kakhaber Kordzaia, the Rector of Caucasus International University, addressed the audience and thanked the authors of the book for their productive work.
The textbook was prepared within the framework of a grant project of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia.
The following topics are discussed in the book: juvenile crime and its prevention; diversion and mediation - restorative justice as the best means of prevention; imprisonment/deprivation of liberty, etc.
The book is intended for law students, representatives of state agencies working with minors in conflict with the law, and any reader interested in this field.
