On May 21, Caucasus International University hosted the official presentation of the book Law of Vine and Wine, co-authored by Dr. Gia Meparishvili, Professor of Law at CIU, and Nato Tabutsadze, a practicing lawyer and Master of Business Law.
The book, published with the financial support of Caucasus International University and developed under the auspices of the Faculty of Law, explores the legal frameworks governing the wine industry in France, the European Union, and Georgia. It covers the entire viticulture and winemaking process—from vine cultivation to the marketing and sale of wine.
The publication places particular emphasis on the protection of the legal rights of professionals and consumers within the wine industry. The principles of comparative law are used in the work. Thus, it serves as a valuable resource not only for the representatives of the vine and wine sector, but current and potential lawyers.
The event was opened by George Khatidze, Dean of the Faculty of Law at Caucasus International University. Olani Gotsiridze, Dean of the Faculty of Viticulture and Enology, and Professor Giorgi Samanishvili also addressed the audience. Nato Tabutsadze, a co-author discussed the content and significance of the book.
The presentation was attended by industry experts, invited guests, and the representatives of the academic and administrative staff of Caucasus International University.
