Smart Idea, Successful Path - CHAKO
On May 30, the Startup CHAKO Award Ceremony was held at the Business Incubator of the Faculty of Business and Technology at Caucasus International University.
CHAKO is an innovative solar-powered smart bag designed to provide travelers, hikers, and individuals in extreme environments with a reliable, eco-friendly energy source.
Kakhaber Kordzaia, Rector of Caucasus International University, Ketevan Nanobashvili, Dean of the Faculty of Business and Technology and Ia Nadirashvili, Head of the Business Incubator welcomed the audience and placed emphasis on the achievements of the team. During the ceremony, CHAKO team members shared the story behind their startup, creative journey, and achievements. The event concluded with the university awarding team members with cash prizes and gifts.
CHAKO startup has made impressive accomplishments recently: Successfully completed the acceleration program at CIU Business Incubator; Won the “Final Pass” in GITA University Competition; Reached the finals of GITA Regional Competition, earning the title of People’s Choice Team; Became the winners of JA Georgia Grant Competition, standing out among over 800 participants nationwide; Represented Georgia at both SAGE Georgia and GEN Europe 2025 competitions; Developed a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and began intensive testing with target users.
It is noteworthy that CHAKO team is focused on further refining their technology and launching mass production. Their aim is to enter international markets, strengthen partnerships within the eco-tourism sector, and customize the product to meet the diverse needs of various users.
