On June 3, the University of Georgia hosted a student conference on the topic “Entrepreneurship and Tourism.”
Mari Lukava and David Dogonadze, students of the Bachelor’s Educational Program in Tourism at Caucasus International University participated in the conference. They presented their research on “Innovative Services in the Hotel Industry,” (under the supervision of CIU Associate Professor Lali Mikeladze) and introduced the concept of a psychotherapeutic hotel. The innovative approach integrates hospitality with mental health services to support emotional relaxation, psychological well-being, and inner harmony.
It is noteworthy that CIU students were awarded the first place at the conference, by the decision of the committee members.
The topics discussed at the conference included the role of small and medium-sized businesses in the development of tourism, the creation of new jobs and the strengthening of the local economy, as well as cooperation between the private and public sectors.
