On May 29-30, the international conference “Democratic Resilience in Challenging Times: Insights from Political Science and Beyond” was held in Podgorica, the capital of Montenegro. The event was organized by the Montenegrin Political Science Association (MOPSA) in partnership with the Faculty of Political Science of the University of Montenegro. The conference was supported by the Friedrich Ebert Foundation and the Embassies of Italy and Ukraine.
Giorgi Pareshishvili, Advisor to the Rector of Caucasus International University, Doctor of Political Science, participated in the work of the conference. He made a presentation on the topic: “Characteristics of the Relations of the Georgian Orthodox Church with the State during the Disintegration of the Soviet Union and the Formation of an Independent State in Georgia”.
Within the framework of the visit, Giorgi Pareshishvili met with the President of the Montenegrin Political Science Association, Professor, Dr. Olivera Komar. The meeting placed emphasis on bilateral cooperation, outlined the prospects for future joint activities and events.
The conference was attended by about 100 scientists from 28 countries, which gave the event a special international scale and relevance.
