Beka Kantaria, Associate Professor of the faculty of Law at Caucasus International University was in German Federal Republic within the framework of Caucasus International University scientific grant. Namely, he visited the University of Jena, by the direct invitation and supervision of Professor Michael Brenner, Head of the Institute of German and European Constitutional and Administrative Law at the Faculty of Law, the University of Jena.
Within the scope of the scientific grant, Beka Kantaria’s research topic was - The Perspective for the Implementation of Two-Chamber Parliament in Georgia (Bicameralism Standards) – theory and practice.
The issue of bicameralism has been significant in Georgia even since 1918. Two-chamber system is an indispensable part of modern political culture. The idea of introducing bicameralism in Georgia was considered almost in all constitutional reforms. Theoretical processing of this problem will facilitate practical implementation of two-chamber parliament in Georgia.
