Eka Tkhilava’s Public Lecture

On June 5, a public lecture by Associate Professor Eka Tkhilava on the topic “Battlefield and Media” was held at Caucasus International University.

The political-technological and medial foundations of war coverage in the media was explored within the framework of the lecture; Furthermore, the empirical aspects of the war coverage were also determined. It was revealed how the process of describing the battlefield in modern media has developed and its gradations, as well as the challenges we face.

Eka Tkhilava also touched on the most difficult process of commodifying war as a spectacle and war as a performance. At the end of the lecture, Q&A session was held.
