The 17th International Wine and Spirits Fair - WinExpo 2025 - opened at ExpoGeorgia exhibition center pavilion on June 6-8.
Caucasus International University Winery, Etno Okami and the Faculty of Viticulture and Enology participated in the exhibition. The university stand was represented by the following wines: Okami (qvevri red wine), Okami (dry white wine), Tavkveri (qvevri red wine), Chinuri–Goruli Mtsvane (qvevri amber wine), Khashmi Saperavi (qvevri red wine), Rkatsiteli (qvevri amber wine), Shavkapito (qvevri red wine)
Please note that Etno Okami wines are crafted using original, authentic Georgian winemaking technologies. Over the years, they have been showcased at numerous international festivals and events. It is important that the winery “Etno Okami”, with the support of Caucasus International University, is the author of the specification for the Okami designation of origin, and visitors could taste the “Okami” wine only at the aforementioned stand.
On the final day of the exhibition, the winners were announced, where four of the five competition samples of “Etno Okami” wines became winners in the bronze category. The wines are: Chinuri-Goruli Mtsvane - 2021; Okami (white) - 2023; Okami (red) - 2023; Khashmi Saperavi - 2021.
At the exhibition held within the framework of WinExpo, graduates of the Faculty of Viticulture and Enology of Caucasus International University represented the university winery “Etno Okami” as well as various wine companies.
It is worth mentioning that WinExpo is one of the leading exhibitions in the wine industry, which annually represents the most important platform for Georgian winemakers to present their products on both the local and international markets. Interest in Georgian wine is increasing each year, which in turn contributes to the scale and prominence of the exhibition.
